Château Carlina
Montagne Saint-Émilion

Julien & Cécile Paillé are young winemakers in Montagne Saint-Emilion, they have built and operated their own vineyards called Château Carlina and Château Haut-Guitard of their family in the commune of Montagne, 5 km from Saint-Emilion. The Château Carlina is located on clay-limestone soil, with outcrops of natural rocks, it is in these places where the flower called “carline” is present, it is the emblem of the Castle. Usually, it is more easily located in the mountains of the Pyrenees.

Vinification
The batches of clusters are pumped every day during the fermentation. Temperature control. The tank time lasts 20 days. Then, the wine is aged in cement bowls and partially in oak barrels before being bottled.

Tasting notes
Garnet red, the nose reveals aromas of black, cherry and purple buds. A supple attack opens in the mouth, succeeded by round and fine tannins.
